This was the first time she had acted in a US important role since she had previously acted in films from Australia. Jessica's martial arts as well as horseback riding skills and athletic abilities enable her to perform stunts portraying the tough woman. She learned boxing, muay Thai, and trains at a mixed martial arts gym in Australia. Jake Stormoen, working on Season 4 of the show, met a stray puppy who was wandering around the set. It was discovered that the stray dog belonged to a litter if stray pups which were living in the film set. Jessica took care of two puppies.
